More than 40 years after that flick’s release, and while speaking with CinemaBlend, Russell dug into how one of the action sequences in his new show Monarch: Legacy of Monsters reminded him of The Thing.<br/><br/>Russell was one of the first actors to be added to the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters cast, with Apple TV+ subscribers watching him place Lee Shaw in the 2015 storyline, while his son Wyatt plays Lee during the 1950s. MEASURING in at just 100cm tall - and 99cm wide - the Peel P50 is reported the world’s smallest car to ever go into production. The three-wheeled microcar was originally made from 1962 to 1965 by the Peel Engineering Company and was listed in the 2010 Guinness World Records as the smallest production car ever made, with a weight of just 59 kilograms. Of the 50 P50s ever produced, only 27 are still known to exist today. Canadian, Greg, is one of the owners of these rare cars, and he told Future Studios Cars: “The P50 came out of the Isle of Man, basically the concept was a little car that you can use in the city”. With its DKW 49cc engine, the P50 has a top speed of 37mph and 4.2 horsepower. “It’s a one-seater with one headlight - I also love how it has three wheels, the back wheel is the one that is driving it with a chain from a little moped engine,” Greg said. With its uniquely small size, the P50 is not the most practical car to use. “There’s no reverse because you have to get out of the car and go around to the reversing handle, pick up the car and turn it around then get back in,” explained Greg. Although this is undoubtedly a small car, it has a big history. Greg said: “There was a Russian freighter that came into the port of Vancouver, they used it to drive around their huge freighter on the deck but then the refrigerator broke so when they came back, they traded this car in on a refrigerator”. Today, these cars are incredibly difficult to come by and are incredibly expensive - in 2016, a P50 was sold at auction for over $176,000.

The recent Gŵyl Lên Llandeilo Lit Fest saw crowds return in record numbers to Llandeilo, in a literary bonanza for the Carmarthenshire town.<br/>With 1,350 tickets sold across three days, the annual event grew this year by two-thirds, drawing fans of the written and spoken word from across South and West Wales.<br/>Highlights included the festival's first dedicated children's event in the town’s newly refurbished Yr Hen Farchnad. Talks and workshops at Kids Fest at the Lit Fest were led by award-winning Wales-based children's authors like Children’s Laureate for Wales Alex Wharton and Jonny Duddle.<br/>Aardman Animations led popular model-making and animation workshops alongside an array of free creative activities for families.<br/>This year’s festival broke new ground by embarking on a schools’ programme that delivered writing, poetry, performance and illustration workshops for 320 children across five of Llandeilo's nearby primary schools.<br/>Dafydd Iwan, Kate Humble, John Devereux, Alun Ffred, Siôn Rowlands and an evening of urban myths and legends were the weekend's big crowd pleasers, with tales of hiraeth, sport, crime, politics and more.<br/>The festival's largest programme of Welsh-language sessions to date featured many of Wales' homegrown literary stars, including National Eisteddfod prize-winning poet Sioned Erin Hughes and writer and broadcaster Myfanwy Alexander.<br/>Gŵyl Lên Llandeilo Lit Fest founder and co-chair Christoph Fischer said: “It's just so brilliant to see Llandeilo's literature festival go from strength-to-strength as we draw more crowds to our small town each year. As well as hosting some of Wales' celebrated writers like Owen Sheers and Bethan Gwanas, we’re also seeing a growing appetite for discussions about civic issues that matter to people across our communities.”<br/>Gŵyl Lên Llandeilo Lit Fest is organised by volunteers, supported by Menter Dinefwr and funded by the Heart of Wales Line Community Grant Scheme and the Literature Wales’ Inspiring Communities Fund.
