Saundersfoot native Daisy Duke Coleman is on a mission to make a difference - and conquer Everest to raise funds for a good cause.<br/>On May 1, Daisy will be taking part in her first major charity fundraising event and hiking to Everest Base Camp in aid of the Armed Forces Para Snowsports Team (AFPST) - an independent charity, registered in the UK, that uses the restorative and transforming power of para-snowsports to accelerate and support the recovery and welfare of our wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans. The charity relies solely on donations and is 100% voluntary led.<br/>After being medically discharged from the Armed Forces, Daisy has gone on to experience multiple successes including being a professional P1 powerboat racer having been crowned multiple times champion alongside her brother Sam who now races in the Electric E1 Boat Racing series, for one of the world’s most successful sports stars, seven-times American Football Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.<br/>Having hung up her race boots and returning to Pembrokeshire to support the family business and pursue her charitable ambitions in the locality, Daisy embodies the unwavering spirit of resilience and determination in taking on such an extraordinary challenge to raise funds for the AFPST by embarking on a courageous journey to Everest Base Camp. <br/>Daisy has just returned from AFPST’s Winter Endeavour in Colorado which saw 14 international athletes join the AFPST cohort for an Invictus Games Foundation camp in advance of the first Invictus Winter Games being held in Vancouver-Whistler, Canada in 2025. <br/>The hallmark Winter Games event will mark a decade of successful Invictus Games whereby over 500 wounded, injured and sick (WIS) veterans and service personnel will experience the power of competitive sports and proudly represent their nation on an international level against 25 nations in total. <br/>Daisy, as an active member of the snowboarding team, turned her feet to Nordic skiing to take advantage of the high terrain and maximise the training opportunity ahead of the Everest trek.<br/>With each arduous event Daisy tackles, she aims to inspire others by pushing the boundaries of what is perceived as possible. Wrexham have secured promotion to League one after a thumping 6-0 win over Forest Green. <br/><br/>The Red Dragons were transformed following the takeover by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, and their success has continued. <br/><br/>Phil Parkinson's men were aware that a win against bottom side Forest Green would ensure a second consecutive promotion.<br/><br/>And victory at the RaceCourse Ground came in emphatic fashion, with Wrexham heading into half-time 4-0 up thanks to Elliot Lee's strike, Paul Mullin's brace and a Ryan Inniss own-goal. <br/><br/>The second half continued in similar fashion, with Ryan Barnett and Jack Marriott. adding a further two goals to get celebration party underway. <br/><br/><br/>Thousands of fans invaded the pitch once the full-time whistle was blown despite a stern warning from the club earlier in the day. <br/><br/>A statement read: 'The Club wishes to remind supporters that it is crucial the pitch is kept to its usual high standards, given we still have a home game on the final day of the season.<br/><br/>'With that in mind, we wish to remind supporters about the implications of any potential pitch invasions, at any point, during the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.<br/><br/>'At the end of last season, some clubs witnessed unsavoury and unwelcome scenes with a small minority of people entering the field of play whilst other fans took to the pitch in a celebratory mood.<br/><br/>'It is a criminal offence to enter the pitch and the real-life consequences for these actions have been felt by many with some fans receiving criminal records which can impact employment, education prospects and international travel.'<br/><br/>A corner after 17 minutes led to Lee’s opener following a frantic goalmouth scramble after Mullin’s header was blocked.<br/><br/>It took last season’s National League champions just six minutes to double their lead.<br/><br/>Lee was again involved, releasing James McClean, who picked out Mullin at the back post to head in his 24th of the season.<br/><br/>Thoroughly dominant in the first half, Wrexham’s third came as defender Eoghan O’Connell tried his luck from distance. His shot took a cruel deflection off Inniss which left goalkeeper Vicente Reyes helpless.<br/><br/>There was still time for Mullin to hit Wrexham’s fourth before half-time.<br/><br/>A corner was only half-cleared to the unmarked striker on the edge of the area and his shot deflected into the goal.<br/><br/>Barnett got in on the act in the second half with a stunning volley from McClean’s cross to make it 5-0.<br/><br/>And Marriott completed the scoring six minutes from time as Wrexham and their Hollywood star owners could celebrate promotion with two games to spare.<br/><br/>Next season will be Wrexham's first in the third tier since the 2004-05 campaign. It's also the first time the Welsh club have been promoted in successive seasons. <br/><br/>League Two leaders Stockport will join them in the third tier after they beat Morecambe 2-0.

Bukayo Saka and his Arsenal team-mates were left fuming after being denied a penalty in the dying seconds of their Champions League draw with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.<br/><br/>Substitute Leandro Trossard came on to score the equalizing goal for the Gunners 15 minutes from time, but there were calls for them to have a shot at taking a lead into next week's reverse leg.<br/><br/>Saka burst into the Germans' penalty area, and looked to have taken it around the goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, only for the shot-stopper to bring him down - and the referee quickly waved it away. <br/><br/>Saka was seen confronting the Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg after the full-time whistle was blown - but the incident has left pundits split over whether the right call was made or not. <br/><br/>TNT Sports pundits Rio Ferdinand and Martin Keown were left in disbelief at the referee's decision to not award Arsenal a penalty. <br/><br/>Former Arsenal defender Keown said: 'Neuer is going towards that ball, he comes out and makes the challenge. For me, that's a penalty all day long.'<br/><br/>Ferdinand added in disbelief: 'How has that not been given? With VAR, with everything, I can't believe that's not been given.'<br/><br/>He felt that Saka was Arsenal's 'most dangerous player', and that the Gunners had played 'so well' at times during the 2-2 draw, noting 'they were the team pushing towards the end to get the result'.<br/><br/>However, on commentary, Ally McCoist accused Saka of 'throwing his foot in', before adding: 'The referee might just have got that one correct because I don't think Saka needs to throw his right leg into him.' <br/><br/>The Scottish football icon added: 'He got there first, but there's an element, he throws his right leg into him.' <br/><br/>Co-commentator Owen Hargreaves also concurred with McCoist's view of the controversial incident.<br/><br/>Immediately after the game, Trossard told TNT Sports: 'On the pitch, it looked like a penalty to me. I haven't seen the replay, but for me, it looked like it was clear contact.' <br/><br/>Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta diplomatically answered: ‘I haven’t seen it. The decision has been made, we cannot change that.'<br/><br/>He added he can sympathize with Saka's reaction 'if he had that belief that it was a penalty, for sure’. <br/><br/>The game finished 2-2, leaving the game finely poised going into next Wednesday's return leg at the Allianz Arena in Munich. <br/><br/>Saka and Trossard got Arsenal's goals, either side of Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane scoring for Bayern Munich, the latter from the penalty spot.
