Let It Die Here features appearances by a number of close friends and collaborators, including Dolly Parton, Christina Aguilera, Kate Hudson, Sara Gilbert, and Brandi Carlile, the latter of whom declares Perry to be a 'queer icon.' Its story is told through intimate verite footage, select interviews and hypnotic animation sequences, helping lay bare Perry's authentic self in much the same way she enables music's biggest stars to do in the studio.
