Description: As a first year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, English 105 is a required interdisciplinary course. Under the instruction of Paul Blom, a Comparative Literature PhD student, each student chose a specific subculture to ethnographically observe. Because I work at Chick-fil-A, my current employment offers me an opportunity to ethnographically observe its employees and also determine how corporate controversies trickle down into individual franchises.
