Description: This piece is designed to teach bow division and planning of bow speeds. Whole bows should be used in the soft opening section, followed by a faster middle-half bow speed in the Jack-in-the-box “surprise”. The last eighth note can be lifted and carefully replaced in the half note rest in measures 3 and 4 and similar places throughout the piece.
