Bright Whispers is an art installation. It is forest of thirty lanterns, each uniquely inscribed with afirst-person account of immigration, written in the native language of the storyteller. The lanterns’ distances from the ground are representative of the percentage of life each storyteller has spent in Canada: the further from the ground, the more time in Canada. Thus, the immigration memories - the projected writing on the ground - become more faded for the people with the higher percenta
