Description: Strong cold winds swept across the warm waters of the Great Lakes on November 19th and 20th 2014, setting up intense snow squalls in central Ontario.nnSome bands of snow stayed stationary for several hours dumping over 90 centimeters near Parry Sound.nnHighway 400 near Barrie saw several multi-car collisions which closed both the northbound and southbound lanes. nnIt could have been worse, however – similar lake-effect squalls off of Lake Erie dumped a whopping 200 centimeters over Buffalo.
