Description: A short compilation film analyzing the cinematic technique of combining black & white and color footage in film. By looking at clips side by side I argue in this film that this stylistic choice acts as an indicator of symbolism and emotional significance in a film's narrative, breaking the rules of a normal cinematic universe and forcing the viewer to pay closer attention as they re-orient. The film looks at the work of Harold Rosson (
